Job Description:

The Purchasing Officer at JW Marriott Hotel Hanoi will be responsible for managing inventory, verifying and tracking received goods, reconciling shipping invoices, and maintaining food safety and handling standards. The role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.

Job Responsibility:

Calculate figures for food inventories, orders, and costs
maintain clear and organized records
post invoices
conduct inventory audits
complete requisition forms for inventory and supplies
notify manager/supervisor of low stock levels
verify and track received inventory
reconcile shipping invoices and receiving reports
process and control deliveries
refuse acceptance of damaged or incorrect items
troubleshoot vendor delivery issues
monitor food item inventory levels
report accidents and unsafe work conditions
follow company policies and procedures
maintain confidentiality of proprietary information
visually inspect tools and equipment
maintain positive working relationships with others
ensure quality assurance standards
enter and locate work-related information using computer systems.

Requirements:

High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent
at least 1 year of related work experience
no supervisory experience
ability to calculate figures for food inventories, orders, and costs
ability to maintain clear and organized records
experience conducting inventory audits
ability to complete requisition forms for inventory and supplies
ability to track received inventory and complete inventory reports
experience in reconciling shipping invoices and receiving reports
ability to troubleshoot vendor delivery issues
knowledge of food safety and handling policies
proficiency in computer programs
ability to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods
ability to lift and move objects weighing up to 50 pounds without assistance.
