We are seeking a dedicated and detail‑focused Full‑Time Purchasing Officer, based in Palmyra, to support our purchasing function across the business. You will be responsible for maintaining reliable supply, managing stock levels, engaging with suppliers, and ensuring smooth purchasing operations. This role is crucial to ensuring we meet Delivery In Full, On Time (DIFOT) targets and maintain inventory accuracy across our network.
Job Responsibility:
Develop and maintain strong supplier relationships to support reliable, cost‑effective supply of goods and services
Prepare, process, and manage purchase orders and procurement requests in an accurate and timely manner
Monitor stock levels and replenishment needs, including analysing slow‑moving, excess, or overstocked items and recommending actions
Ensure DIFOT performance by coordinating with suppliers and internal teams to maintain uninterrupted supply
Maintain accurate supplier and purchasing data, including reports on purchasing activity, sales data, pricing, and supplier performance
Resolve invoice discrepancies and payment issues in collaboration with Finance to ensure timely supplier payments
Source alternative products, manage product recalls, and obtain samples in line with internal processes
Identify and implement process improvement opportunities across purchasing and inventory management
Requirements:
Strong background in inventory and purchasing management, ideally within food services, FMCG, supply chain, or similar environments
Excellent communication skills with the ability to build effective relationships across suppliers and internal stakeholders
High attention to detail, accuracy, and pride in producing quality work
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word) with solid analytical, mathematical, and problem‑solving ability
Strong planning, organisation, and time‑management skills, with the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
Good understanding of purchasing processes, supplier management, and basic finance or accounting principles
Adaptable, proactive, and able to respond well to changing priorities in a fast‑paced environment
