Job Description:

The Purchasing Officer role at JW Marriott Phuket Resort & Spa involves managing food inventory, processing invoices, ensuring accurate inventory tracking, and maintaining company policies and food safety procedures. The role requires strong organization, familiarity with procurement processes, and the ability to work collaboratively with a team to support the operations of the resort.

Job Responsibility:

Calculate figures for food inventories, orders, and costs
maintain clear and organized records
conduct inventory audits to determine inventory needs
post invoices using computer programs
complete requisition forms for inventory and supplies
verify and track received inventory
reconcile shipping invoices and receiving reports
ensure food safety and handling policies are followed
monitor PAR levels for food items
report accidents and unsafe work conditions
comply with company policies and quality assurance standards
develop positive relationships with team members
visually inspect tools, equipment, or machines.

Requirements:

High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent
at least 1 year of related work experience
strong communication and organizational skills
ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds
ability to work extended periods of time standing, sitting, or walking
familiarity with inventory management systems and computer software.
