We are seeking a dedicated Purchasing Material Control Agent with preferably at least 2 years of experience ordering industrial equipment and supplies based on specified requirements. The candidate will support activities involved with acquiring goods and services, such as raw materials, equipment, tools, parts, supplies, etc., in addition to supporting material control functions.

Job Responsibility

  • Respond to purchase request generated by repair demands
  • Identify suppliers
  • Maintain warehouse inventory / perform daily cycle counts and annual inventory count
  • Maintain a clean and efficient warehouse operation
  • Create purchase orders in computer system
  • Maintain manual and computerized procurement records
  • Resolve shipment quality/quantity discrepancies

  • Facilitate inspections, substitutions, and standardization of material needed
  • Deliver parts, equipment and material to location by arranging shipping as required

Requirements

Minimum of 2 years of experience ordering industrial equipment and supplies based on specified requirements

Nice to have

  • Ability to interpret blueprints is a plus
  • Knowledge of basic computer software (i.e. Microsoft Word, Excel, etc.)
  • Good Communication Skills
