Job Responsibility:

  • Coordinate and manage all operations for the Purchasing, Receiving, and Storeroom Department
  • Safeguard the hotel's financial integrity and ensure all departments have the adequate supplies to perform their duties
  • Continuously research and find new and alternative products to reduce costs and improve operations while keeping the quality standards
  • Work together with the Chef to obtain the best products and prices available, reviewing market lists and offers daily
  • Ensure competitive bidding is taking place and that business is awarded fairly and ethically
  • Supervise, train, and motivate the Purchasing department staff, including responsibilities for hiring, scheduling, and disciplinary actions
  • Monitor stock levels to align with operational needs, while ensuring all deliveries and issues are documented correctly

Requirements:

  • Proven experience, such as 2+ years as a hotel purchasing manager
  • Excellent organizational, time management, and communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Demonstrated leadership and negotiation skills
  • Ability to handle high volume with attention to detail and cope with changing priorities and multiple tasks
  • A professional, confidential, and ethical approach, identifying with being people-oriented, straightforward, and passionate for European luxury
