Job Responsibility:
Coordinate and manage all operations for the Purchasing, Receiving, and Storeroom Department
Safeguard the hotel's financial integrity and ensure all departments have the adequate supplies to perform their duties
Continuously research and find new and alternative products to reduce costs and improve operations while keeping the quality standards
Work together with the Chef to obtain the best products and prices available, reviewing market lists and offers daily
Ensure competitive bidding is taking place and that business is awarded fairly and ethically
Supervise, train, and motivate the Purchasing department staff, including responsibilities for hiring, scheduling, and disciplinary actions
Monitor stock levels to align with operational needs, while ensuring all deliveries and issues are documented correctly
Requirements:
Proven experience, such as 2+ years as a hotel purchasing manager
Excellent organizational, time management, and communication skills (written and verbal)
Demonstrated leadership and negotiation skills
Ability to handle high volume with attention to detail and cope with changing priorities and multiple tasks
A professional, confidential, and ethical approach, identifying with being people-oriented, straightforward, and passionate for European luxury
