Job Description

Development of a regional purchasing and procurement strategy for the Business Division Exterior, taking into account the Product Strategies and Central Purchasing Department of the Brose Group. Release of the project specific global / regional procurement concept according to Brose Purchasing Strategy. Accountable for the successful realization of all purchasing topics including Supplier Quality within the Product Units and Commodity families according to the Brose Product Development Process (e.g. early supplier involvement, support of target setting process, adequate preparation of project awards, bundling of global component demands etc.) Identification and indication of cost reduction potentials as well as ensuring of their global implementation for profit improvement according to target objectives. Identification and implementation of innovations in cooperation with the involved technical departments. Leading, developing and optimizing the regional purchasing organization and is responsible for the qualification and development of employees as well as ensuring capacity planning in the areas of project and commodity purchasing on a regional level. Define, implement and ensure global / regional KPIs for the area of Exterior Purchasing as well as their derivation and implementation of measures in case of deviations after approval of the Senior Vice President Exterior China and Vice President Purchasing China. Leading and controlling of purchasing tasks within the project change management process. Resource allocation and knowledge distribution across the Purchasing /Product Unit Team in China.

Requirements

  • Holistic thinking and acting in the sense of purchasing processes and product units
  • Very well developed technical knowledge (regarding manufacturing technologies, etc.)
  • Experience in purchasing of resin, metal materials
  • Very good knowledge of project management methods
  • Very good knowledge in target costing and value analysis
  • Very good knowledge in negotiations and contract law
  • Very good IT skills: MS Office applications, MS Project, SAP R/3 MM-Module (SAP Key user)
  • More than 10 years working expeirence, completed technical or business management degree.
