This role is a key commercial role within the Purchasing Department, specifically focused on the Indirect Material process. You will manage the procurement of indirect materials and services, ensuring a balance between technical specifications and commercial efficiency to deliver the best value for the organisation.
Job Responsibility:
Identify, negotiate, and purchase materials/services that comply with specifications using contract or corporate pricing
Conduct bids and utilise pricing and cost analysis techniques to ensure continuous commodity optimisation
Maintain the Approved Vendor List (AVL) and monitor supplier performance regarding price, quality, and service
Drive corporate-wide adherence to purchasing policies, business ethics, and signature authority
Coordinate with Finance on invoice approvals and Logistics for material deliveries and tax exemptions
Communicate and coordinate with global counterparts and international suppliers
Requirements:
Minimum of a Diploma or Degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Business Management, or a related field
At least one (1) year of experience in Purchasing, Engineering, or Business
Proven experience within a Manufacturing environment is a must
Experience in solar, wafer fabrication, semiconductor, or electronics industries is highly preferred
Proficiency in MS Office and strong commercial experience in procurement scope
Excellent written and oral communication skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia
Additional regional languages are a significant advantage
Recent graduates in a related field are encouraged to apply
