We are looking for a detail-oriented Purchasing Coordinator to join our team in Azusa, California. In this role, you will oversee procurement activities, manage inventory levels, and ensure the timely acquisition of supplies to support pharmacy operations. This Contract to permanent position requires close collaboration with vendors, internal departments, and logistics teams to maintain compliance with company and regulatory standards.
Job Responsibility:
Process and review purchase orders to meet inventory and operational needs
Monitor inventory levels, ensuring adequate stock and avoiding overstock situations
Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and vendor information within the system
Communicate with vendors to confirm order status, resolve discrepancies, and coordinate deliveries
Reconcile invoices and address any pricing or quantity variances to support accounts payable functions
Track controlled and non-controlled pharmaceutical products in compliance with regulatory standards
Generate reports on inventory, purchasing trends, and product usage to aid in forecasting and cost control
Collaborate with warehouse, pharmacy, and logistics teams to streamline product distribution
Support audits by organizing procurement documentation and ensuring compliance
Assist in vendor performance evaluations and identify opportunities for cost-saving initiatives
Requirements:
Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Healthcare Administration, or a related field preferred
Minimum of 3 years of experience in purchasing, procurement, or inventory coordination, ideally within a pharmacy or healthcare environment
Proficiency in SAP (MM module preferred) for managing purchasing and inventory
Strong skills in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting
Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in data entry
Familiarity with pharmaceutical purchasing practices and regulatory compliance is advantageous
Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving abilities
Ability to coordinate logistics and manage vendor relationships effectively
