The Purchasing Assistant is in charge of all the stores and also assisting the Assistant Purchasing Manager in placing orders, following up on deliveries. He is also responsible for all beverage items including carrying out monthly beverages inventories.
Job Responsibility:
Responsible of Food and Beverage storerooms and Chillers
Placing orders for Food & Beverages on a regular basis
Issuing requisitions to all F&B outlets
Coordinating with kitchen team to supply them with the right product at the right time
Following up with the kitchen team for unavailable products and proposing substitute items to the Chef
Deal with vendors for the return of damaged or expired products
Receiving of goods taking into consideration that quality and quantity is as per order
Following up on all pending orders until delivered to the Resort under the supervision of the Assistant Purchasing Manager
Ensure that all items are properly arranged in the storeroom
Maintain cleanliness of all storage areas
Go to supermarkets for emergency purchases
Preparing list of slow moving items on a monthly basis and send to Executive Chef and DOFB
Coordinate with Beverage Manager / Sommelier to prepare wines and liquors order
Updating all beverage stock in the system on a daily basis
Update all food purchases in PSL Food cost flash report daily
Ensure Par stock is always in place for each and every Food & Beverage items in the storeroom
Issuing of General items to all departments
Ensure that all Receiving is done on an approved purchase document
Ensure that any shortage in delivery or return of products is properly documented by a "Goods Return Note", sent to Accounting
Requirements:
College education or equivalent experience
Minimum 3 years experience as a storekeeper, purchasing clerk
