Job Description:

Purchasing and Receiving position at Marriott Irvine Spectrum responsible for processing deliveries, managing inventory, handling packages, and ensuring proper shipping and receiving procedures while maintaining safety standards and providing professional service.

Job Responsibility:

Receive, unload, and process deliveries
Stage merchandise by department
Mark merchandise appropriately for placement in facility
Deliver merchandise to appropriate department
Verify and track received inventory
Complete inventory reports and logs
Reconcile shipping invoices and receiving reports
Receive, store, ship, and deliver incoming and outgoing department packages and mail
Secure the receiving room and its contents
Follow all hazardous material shipping guidelines and regulations
Ship all out-going mail and packages
Verify quantity and condition of packages upon receipt
Communicate with guest regarding received packages
Maintain accurate tracking system on all shipping and receiving transactions
Obtain guest signatures for received packages
Communicate with management regarding any loss or damage with packages

Requirements:

High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent
No related work experience
No supervisory experience
No license or certification required
Ability to move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 50 pounds without assistance
Ability to grasp, turn, and manipulate objects of varying size and weight
Ability to move through narrow, confined, or elevated spaces
Ability to move over sloping, uneven, or slippery surfaces
Ability to move up and down stairs and/or service ramps
Ability to reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping
