We are looking for a detail-oriented Purchasing Agent to join our team in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania. This long-term contract position involves a variety of procurement responsibilities, including managing purchase orders, ensuring timely delivery of orders, and resolving invoicing issues. The role requires strong organizational skills and the ability to make informed buying decisions while working with vendors and internal systems.

Job Responsibility

  • Create and manage purchase orders to ensure efficient procurement processes
  • Confirm and track orders to guarantee timely delivery from suppliers
  • Expedite orders as needed to meet operational deadlines
  • Resolve invoicing discrepancies and coordinate with the finance team
  • Utilize systems such as Epicor to analyze data and make informed purchasing decisions
  • Collaborate with vendors to maintain and improve supplier relationships
  • Perform administrative tasks to support the purchasing department's operations
  • Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with relevant teams to meet demand
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures during all purchasing activities

Requirements

  • Proven experience in purchasing or procurement roles
