We are looking for an Entry Level Purchasing Agent to support material planning and procurement activities in the Middlesex County, NJ area. Job Responsibility:
Handle purchasing for materials needed to support daily production
Work with production, warehouse, and other teams to help keep materials available based on business needs
Review material lists and demand information to support purchasing and inventory planning
Prepare and track purchase orders, including quantities, order status, and delivery dates
Help maintain accurate inventory records by reviewing data and resolving differences
Analyze large amounts of information accurately while working under deadlines
Work with finance and accounting to keep purchasing records, pricing, and related documents up to date
Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management is required
Background working with inventory management processes and material planning activities
Familiarity with purchase order processing and day-to-day purchasing department functions
Finance or accounting knowledge that supports accurate data handling and transaction review
Strong attention to detail with the ability to detect errors and resolve data inconsistencies
Proficiency using ERP or similar business systems, along with Excel for reporting and analysis
