Purchaser

• Oversee the entire procurement lifecycle, including sourcing, pricing, issuing purchase orders, and managing deliveries
• Analyze vendor quotes to ensure competitive pricing and track expiration dates for contracts and agreements
• Coordinate specialized material orders such as metal deck and fireproofing, including production schedules and delivery logistics
• Resolve issues related to pricing discrepancies, material shortages, or delivery challenges through effective communication and problem-solving
• Maintain accurate shipping and receiving records, ensuring compliance with company and industry standards
• Support invoicing processes, ensuring all documentation aligns with organizational workflows
• Collaborate with field teams to ensure materials arrive on time and meet project requirements
• Assist with compliance documentation and reporting as needed
• Engage in cost management practices to control expenses and support project budgets
• Foster strong relationships with vendors and suppliers to ensure reliable partnerships

• Minimum of 10 years of purchasing experience, preferably within the construction industry
• Proficient in managing procurement processes with accuracy and attention to detail
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple priorities simultaneously
• Experience working with vendors, reviewing contracts, and negotiating pricing
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with construction procurement systems
