Our client in Benicia, CA is seeking a motivated Purchaser for a contract to permanent opportunity. This role will support day-to-day procurement activities, including placing orders, coordinating with suppliers, tracking deliveries, and helping maintain appropriate inventory levels. The ideal candidate is organized, analytical, and comfortable working across teams in a fast-paced environment.
Job Responsibility:
Prepare and process purchase orders for materials, supplies, and services
Communicate with vendors regarding pricing, availability, and delivery timelines
Monitor open orders and help resolve delays or order discrepancies
Review inventory needs and support replenishment efforts
Maintain accurate purchasing records and vendor information in internal systems
Partner with operations and other departments to support business needs
Assist with purchasing analysis, reporting, and cost control efforts
Requirements:
2+ years of experience in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain support
Experience working with purchase orders, vendors, and inventory data
Proficiency in Excel and ERP or purchasing systems
Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
Experience in manufacturing, distribution, or logistics environments is a plus
