We are looking for a dedicated Purchaser to join our team in Santa Fe Springs, California. In this role, you will oversee the full lifecycle of purchase orders, ensuring accuracy and compliance while coordinating with multiple departments to achieve seamless order processing. This position requires a detail-oriented individual with strong organizational and communication skills to manage purchasing activities effectively.
Job Responsibility:
Review incoming purchase orders to ensure alignment with commercial, technical, and contractual requirements before processing
Create, update, and manage sales orders using Epicor
Identify and address discrepancies related to pricing, scope, payment terms, lead times, and documentation
Issue Sales Order Acknowledgements (SOAs) and Proforma Invoices
Monitor and manage unacknowledged, on-hold, and high-risk orders
Collaborate with Sales, Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain, Quality, and Finance teams
Ensure all documentation, drawings, testing requirements, and compliance standards are met
Lead weekly Sales Order Review meetings
Train and mentor Order Entry Representatives
Drive process improvement initiatives
Requirements:
At least 2 years of experience in customer service, order fulfillment, or related roles
Previous experience managing customer service representatives is required
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail
Proficiency in Microsoft Office or similar software tools
Familiarity with Epicor or similar ERP systems is highly preferred
Ability to apply critical thinking and logic
Demonstrated ability to prioritize workload
