Alignment with structured manufacturing & logistics protocols is crucial, as you will operate machines according to standard operating procedures (SOPs) to guarantee maximum efficiency, absolute safety, and precise dimensional accuracy. To excel in this industrial manufacturing environment, the ideal Machine Operator must bring strong physical stamina, including the ability to confidently lift 40+ lbs consistently throughout an 8-hour shift, alongside a collaborative attitude ready to assist other operators and maintain a clean workplace.

Job Responsibility

  • Operate Punch Press machinery safely and efficiently to stamp, blank, and form metal components according to technical blueprints
  • Set up, adjust, and monitor both legacy and new punch presses to ensure parts conform to strict engineering specifications
  • Read a measuring tape, calipers, and other precision measuring devices accurately to perform regular quality control inspections
  • Operate machines according to SOP guidelines to maximize output and uphold strict manufacturing & logistics standards
  • Perform die changes and tool setups as required, ensuring machines are properly aligned and calibrated for production runs
  • Assist with packaging, sorting, and labeling finished metal products to prepare them for final inventory shipment
  • Follow health & safety procedures meticulously, wearing proper PPE and maintaining a safe workspace for all employees
  • Clean workstations and proactively assist other machine operators or industrial team members to keep production lines running smoothly

Requirements

  • Previous hands-on experience as a Punch Press Operator or dedicated industrial Machine Operator in a metal fabrication facility an asset
  • Verified capability to regularly handle the physical demands of the job, including safely lifting 40+ lbs without assistance
  • Full flexibility and willingness to execute secondary tasks, such as product packaging, general cleanup, and team support
  • Complete alignment with and strict adherence to occupational health & safety procedures and regulatory guidelines
  • Demonstrated literacy in reading industrial blueprints, material sheets, and executing standard manufacturing SOPs
  • Dependable transportation or regular access to public transit lines that align with an 8:00 AM start time in Hamilton
