Bemana is seeking a high-level Pump Division Manager to lead our pump repair and service operations in Chesapeake, VA. This role is ideal for a hands-on leader who understands the complexities of high-energy rotating equipment and has the financial acumen to manage a departmental P&L. You will oversee a diverse team of Project Managers, Machinists, and Mechanics in a state-of-the-art, fully air-conditioned repair facility.

Job Responsibility:

  • Manage daily shop production, set performance targets, and coordinate shared resources across welding, machine shop, and quality control departments
  • Oversee the departmental income statement, including job pricing, invoicing, forecasting, and maintaining healthy profit margins
  • Lead investigations into rework or delays, coordinate corrective actions with the Quality Dept., and ensure 100% compliance with safety protocols
  • Recruit, hire, and mentor junior personnel
  • determine training needs and conduct regular performance reviews
  • Act as the technical point of contact for customer visits, tours, and direct vendor correspondence

Requirements:

  • 10+ years of hands-on experience in pump repair and shop supervision
  • Deep expertise in horizontal split case, overhung, vertical turbine, and vertical centrifugal pumps
  • Proficient in MS Office and familiar with LEAN Manufacturing or 5S principles
  • Proven ability to manage direct reports and maintain accountability in a fast-paced environment
