Job Responsibility:

  • Build products / mechanical parts
  • Assemble repair work and document
  • Operate dynamic balance and document results
  • Operate EDM
  • Repair and dress castings
  • Dismantle, inspect and assess repair work and document findings
  • Receive incoming shipments
  • Work with lead Technicians to develop scope of work required for repairs
  • Make wood shipping crates for shipping out re-worked product
  • General housekeeping as necessary

Requirements:

  • mechanical aptitude and machining background without license
  • 3 years+ experience in mechanical and machining applications
  • Knowledge of operating CNC and manual lathes (set-up / operation), using precision measuring instruments
  • Knowledge of EDM machine operation, welding, or carpentry an asset
  • WHMIS training
  • Forklift operation experience
  • Organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
  • Solid communication skills – written and verbal
  • Willingness to ‘jump in’ wherever needed

  • Re-assembling pumping machinery on-site or in the Service Centre using new spare parts or employing agreed refurbishment techniques
