Austin Health is the major provider of tertiary health services, health professional education and research across three campuses in the north-east of Melbourne and statewide. We have a highly engaged, diverse and collaborative workforce that is unified by our goal to help people live healthy and fulfilled lives. An exciting opportunity currently exists for an enthusiastic Pulmonary Hypertension Fellow to join our Cardiology Department for a 12-month (12 hrs/week) Fellowship position from February 2027.

Job Responsibility:

  • Participate in pulmonary hypertension clinics
  • Undertake research and quality activities, within the department, aiming for publication in a peer-reviewed medical journal and to assist other researchers with projects
  • Develop advanced clinical competency in pulmonary hypertension management
  • Promulgate and embed recent advances into clinical practice
  • Promote, participate and assist in the dissemination of the clinical audit processes to improve patient outcomes

Requirements:

  • Registered Medical Practitioner in Australia with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
  • Appropriate training and experience applicable to the field of cardiology
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strong commitment to excellence in patient care
