This hybrid position requires expertise in tax preparation, including individual and corporate tax returns, as well as proficiency with accounting software. Job Responsibility:
Prepare and review individual and corporate tax returns to ensure accuracy and compliance with regulations
Conduct reconciliations of tax payable accounts and revenue accounts with the general ledger
Maintain auditable records for federal and state tax filings, ensuring compliance with applicable laws
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address tax-related reporting issues and provide financial insights
Manage journal entries, accruals, and general ledger updates to support accurate financial records
Lead efforts during audits, defending tax positions and coordinating with external auditors
Research and implement strategies to improve tax compliance processes and efficiency
Communicate with management regarding tax impacts and regulatory changes
Stay updated on tax laws and industry regulations to ensure accurate filings
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting is required
Minimum of 3 years of experience in corporate accounting, including journal entries and general ledger maintenance
Strong proficiency in tax preparation for both individual and corporate returns
Ability to analyze and reconcile accounts efficiently
Knowledge of federal and state tax regulations
Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work across teams
Nice to have:
Experience in telecom or regulated industries is a plus
