Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related business field required
CPA license strongly preferred, but equivalent experience in Public Accounting will be considered
Possess a minimum of 5 years of experience in a tax accounting role within Public Accounting industry
Most possess prior supervisory experience directly overseeing tax staff
Experience with UltraTax tax software would be a plus, but not required
Knowledge of Federal Tax, Federal Tax Return, Federal Income Tax, and Federal Income Tax Return
Ability to conduct Income Tax Audits and ensure Income Tax Compliance
Knowledge of Indirect Tax and Indirect Tax Compliance
Familiarity with Local Taxes, Local Tax regulations and filings

Job Responsibility

Conduct comprehensive research and prepare detailed research memos
Oversee and manage the accurate preparation of various tax returns
Apply your knowledge of GAAP and client financial statements to tax preparation
Handle and resolve technically advanced tax issues, making suggestions for improvements
Represent clients with IRS, State or local tax compliance matters
Review the work of staff members and provide necessary guidance
Utilize your advanced computer literacy to work with relevant software programs
Maintain and enhance client relationships through regular communication and exceptional service
Identify opportunities for service expansion to clients and cultivate new client relationships through networking and referrals
Stay updated on technical matters through self-study and training

Requirements

Possession of a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field
A minimum of 1 year of experience in a public accounting or consultancy firm
Proven experience in preparing Individual Tax Returns
Demonstrated proficiency in preparing Partnership Tax Returns
Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license is desirable but not mandatory
