Job Responsibility

  • Direct audit engagements from scoping and risk evaluation through onsite work, review, and issuance of final reports
  • Analyze accounting records and supporting documentation to identify concerns, clarify findings, and communicate practical recommendations to clients
  • Oversee day-to-day work of audit staff, provide guidance on priorities, and help keep multiple client engagements on schedule
  • Perform and review substantive testing, account reconciliations, journal entry analysis, and general ledger activity to support audit conclusions
  • Coordinate fieldwork activities with client contacts and internal team members to ensure timely completion of engagement milestones
  • Apply current auditing guidance, accounting requirements, and industry standards to engagement planning and execution
  • Contribute ideas that strengthen audit methodology, improve workflow efficiency, and support the continued expansion of audit services

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of experience in public accounting with a strong background in external audit engagements
  • Demonstrated ability to lead audits independently, including planning, risk assessment, fieldwork oversight, and reporting
  • Solid knowledge of general ledger activity, month-end close processes, journal entries, and account and bank reconciliations
  • Experience managing competing deadlines across multiple engagements while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail
  • Proven ability to supervise team members, review work product, and provide clear direction during audit execution
  • Strong understanding of audit standards, accounting regulations, and best practices within a public accounting environment
  • Effective communication skills with the ability to explain findings, address audit issues, and recommend process improvements to clients
