Atlassian is seeking a Public Sector Solutions Engineer to work alongside the sales team, strategize solutions to customer challenges, and drive business closures. This remote-available role involves engaging customers, technical problem-solving, and playing a pivotal role in enterprise sales.
Job Responsibility:
Partner with sales to engage in customer discovery, identifying business challenges and desired outcomes while mapping them to Atlassian’s value propositions and solutions
Identify opportunities for cross-product and solution expansion to maximize customer value
Investigate and understand client pain points to craft meaningful solutions
Act as a product expert, clearly articulating and demonstrating how Atlassian’s software drives collaboration and productivity
Deliver engaging demonstrations showcasing how Atlassian’s solutions empower teams and drive outcomes
Guide customers on best practices and implementation strategies to achieve success with Atlassian software
Build strong partnerships with sales counterparts to improve engagement and optimize the sales cycle
Gather customer feedback and competitive insights, sharing them with product teams to influence improvements.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
3+ years of Public Sector experience in Presales, Solution Engineering, or working in customer-facing roles for technology vendors or technology-driven organizations
Deep knowledge of Atlassian’s product suite and ability to articulate its value in solving complex business challenges
Proven experience delivering impactful product/solution demonstrations and leading technical evaluations
Ability to work in a team environment and collaborate with peers
Ability to identify solution expansion opportunities and align with customer goals
Highly organized, able to work in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment, balancing competing priorities and deadlines
Strong interpersonal and communication skills to influence technical and business stakeholders, with the ability to present to and persuade varied audiences
Collaborative mindset with a passion for solving problems and empowering customers, along with a 'roll-up-your-sleeves' approach focused on execution and continuous improvement.
