Job Description:

A leading UK Managed Service Provider is looking for a driven Public Sector Account Manager to join its growing team. This is a unique opportunity to lead new business in local government and public sector accounts, take ownership of strategic relationships, and deliver transformative Microsoft-based IT solutions.

Job Responsibility:

  • Drive new logo acquisition and grow existing public sector accounts across local government and councils
  • Work directly with Microsoft and other partners to deliver cloud, M365, Azure, Cohesity, and managed service solutions
  • Lead bids, proposals, and framework opportunities with confidence and commercial acumen
  • Own your territory, taking a self-starter approach to target and win business without waiting for leads to fall in your lap
  • Collaborate with internal teams to maximise opportunities and ensure seamless service delivery for clients
  • Be the face of the company for your accounts, delivering exceptional customer experiences and achieving high retention rates

Requirements:

  • 10-15 years’ experience in sales or account management, ideally in public sector or Microsoft partner environments
  • Proven track record in new business generation, sales performance, and account growth
  • Hands-on knowledge of Microsoft stack, Azure, M365, and cloud/managed services
  • Experience working with frameworks, bids, and public sector procurement processes
  • Energetic, self-motivated, and driven to make things happen
