Job Description:

A well-established organization is seeking a Public Relations Specialist to develop and execute communication strategies that elevate brand visibility, strengthen media relationships, and manage public perception. This role requires strong storytelling skills, media outreach experience, and a proactive approach to reputation management.

Job Responsibility:

Develop and execute strategic public relations campaigns aligned with brand goals and target audiences
Write press releases, media alerts, blog posts, talking points, and internal/external communications
Pitch stories to journalists and secure media placements across print, digital, broadcast, and trade outlets
Cultivate and maintain relationships with key media contacts, influencers, and partners
Monitor media coverage, track KPIs, and compile detailed reports on PR performance
Manage crisis communications and prepare rapid responses to emerging issues
Collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, social media, and leadership teams
Support event promotion, product launches, and company announcements with consistent messaging
Research industry trends and competitor activity to inform strategy and positioning

Requirements:

2–4 years of experience in public relations, communications, or media relations
Strong writing and editing skills, with a portfolio that demonstrates press release and pitch development
Experience securing earned media placements and managing media lists
Familiarity with media monitoring tools (e.g., Cision, Meltwater, Muck Rack)
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Highly organized, deadline-driven, and detail-oriented
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment

Nice to have:

Background in a PR agency or handling multiple brands/accounts
Bilingual (depending on market)
Experience with influencer outreach and partnership coordination
Familiarity with crisis communication planning
