Job Description

Flynn Wright is seeking a strategic and detail-oriented Public Relations Specialist to support our PR team and assist with client initiatives, including content development, social media, media relations, and project coordination. This role works closely with agency team members to help implement integrated PR plans and strategies for both consumer and business-to-business audiences, ensuring work is thoughtful, organized, and aligned with client objectives. This position offers the opportunity to further develop strategic thinking skills, build strong client relationships, and contribute meaningfully to campaigns across a range of industries.

Job Responsibility

  • Support the execution of PR tactics across multiple client accounts, including content development, social media support, and media relations — helping ensure projects are delivered on time and with strong attention to detail
  • Assist with client legal review processes by conducting research and gathering credible references to support claims in content and marketing materials
  • Work closely with agency PR team members to support projects across clients, including routing tasks and helping manage timelines to keep work organized
  • Remain adaptable and eager to learn, applying developing skills both proactively and as project needs arise

Requirements

  • 1–3 years of related experience (internships included)
  • Bachelor’s degree in Public Relations, Communications, Journalism, Marketing, or related field
  • Familiarity with traditional and digital PR, including social media, with working knowledge of AP style writing standards
  • Ability to collaborate with multiple team members across projects while learning and applying foundational public relations principles
  • Strong time management and organizational skills with attention to detail and the ability to meet deadlines
  • A clear communicator with solid writing skills, a willingness to grow in public speaking, and a genuine eagerness to learn clients’ businesses
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software

What we offer

  • Office in the heart of downtown — steps away from art, culture, and some of the city’s best spots for coffee, lunch, and happy hour
  • Free downtown parking
  • Comprehensive plans for group health, dental, vision, and life insurance
  • 401k with company match
  • Plenty of Personal Time Off (PTO), plus paid holidays
  • Potential for bonuses based on success of agency
  • Even more money for the Employee Referral Program
  • Extracurriculars that tend to be historic events
