Job Description:

The Public Relations & Marketing Specialist reports to the Director of Public Relations to support the execution of strategies in public & community relations, media and Influencer relations, brand partnerships, digital marketing, social media, content development, and online reputation management. The role is responsible for assisting in the development and execution of an annual strategic and integrated plan that is comprised of public relations, social media and marketing communications strategies that support the hotel’s business objectives, its Food and Beverage outlets, Spa + Wellness, services and personnel, and contribute to driving traffic and revenues. This position is 100% based on-site and on-property in Costa Rica.

Job Responsibility:

  • Support the execution of strategies in public & community relations, media and Influencer relations, brand partnerships, digital marketing, social media, content development, and online reputation management
  • Assist in the development and execution of an annual strategic and integrated plan
  • Collect information from internal departments for PR pitches, Marketing Campaigns, and content
  • Support the Hotel’s Public Relations team in internal and external guest communications, media relations, experience and creative storytelling, on-site media visits, communications copywriting, video and photoshoot coordination
  • Participate in administrative duties
  • Align with F&B team and PR Team to create F&B activations, ideas and campaigns
  • Send photos, coordinate internal interviews, draft quotes
  • Assist with development of PR materials including press kits, bios, fact sheets, presentations
  • Prepare reports by analyzing and summarizing data
  • Maintain tracking mechanisms for media, influencer, and partnership activations
  • Assist with management of media lists, researching new media contacts, fact-checking
  • Assist with all on-site media visits
  • Provide property tours and entertainment when necessary
  • Manage Four Seasons content within press room
  • Contribute to monthly and quarterly ownership reports
  • Support the marketing division with input and actions related to the annual business and plan and fiscal budget
  • Support the Director of Marketing
  • Proofread all marketing material
  • Perform other tasks or projects as assigned
  • Act as a brand ambassador
  • Manage Purchase requests on FACTO, and follow up invoices for the department
  • Intermediate to advance design skill and knowledge of tools like canva.com
  • Website management & Updates specific to F&B Menus
  • Assist in creating promotional materials
  • Monitor digital platforms such as Sonifi, Leonardo, 22miles, Google
  • Monitor inventory of sales materials
  • Collaborate with the Digital Marketing Manager with creation of on-site graphic design
  • Work with the Digital Marketing Manager to coordinate all site visits for influencers
  • Work with the Digital Marketing Manager to support photoshoot schedules
  • Support on-site photoshoots
  • Support content creation and capture at hotel
  • Provide support and collaboration on larger scale collateral projects
  • Work with Digital Marketing Manager to facilitate new image submissions and archiving content
  • Assist with identifying and executing local event participation and activations

  • 3-5 years' experience in public relations, marketing, or brand management, preferably in the luxury hospitality or lifestyle sector
  • Must have advanced English (spoken & written)
