lūquire is seeking a Charlotte-based mid-level public relations professional to lead high-profile, integrated accounts for national and regional brands. As a Public Relations Manager, you’ll serve as a trusted client partner, strategic storyteller and team mentor. You’ll drive breakthrough earned media, thought leadership and influencer programs that deliver measurable business results and leverage AI and emerging technology to work smarter, deliver stronger results, and stay on the forefront of what’s next.
Job Responsibility:
Lead day-to-day PR and communications efforts for multiple clients, ensuring all strategies and deliverables ladder up to brand and business objectives
Develop and execute proactive media relations strategies, securing top-tier, trade and regional coverage that builds awareness and credibility
Provide strategic counsel on issues management, brand positioning and storytelling opportunities across earned media, as well as owned and social channels, as appropriate
Craft and edit compelling media materials, talking points, thought leadership content and other assets with precision and mastery of AP Style
Collaborate cross-functionally with internal content, creative, media and strategy partners as well as clients’ external partners and vendors to ensure integrated campaign success
Manage account teams with clarity and confidence – guiding priorities, mentoring junior staff and fostering collaboration across disciplines
Monitor trends, competitors and cultural moments to identify timely opportunities that elevate client visibility and relevance
Requirements:
Minimum of three years of public relations agency or in-house PR/communications experience, with a track record of delivering impactful, strategic campaigns
Proven ability to manage multiple clients and projects simultaneously, balancing creative vision with operational excellence
Exceptional writing and editing skills – a confident storyteller fluent in media, message and tone
Demonstrated success building relationships with journalists, influencers and other third-party stakeholders
Experience developing and presenting strategic recommendations to senior clients
A proactive, detail-oriented leader with strong organizational and interpersonal skills
Bachelor’s degree in communications, public relations, journalism or related field
Nice to have:
Experience (preferably in-agency) managing complex clients or projects
