Job Description:

The Public Realm Security Officer is responsible for maintaining a safe, secure and welcoming environment. The role involves proactive patrolling, engagement with the public and local businesses, deterring antisocial behaviour, and supporting partnership agencies including the police and local authority to ensure the safety and wellbeing of all who use the area.

Job Responsibility:

  • Monitor and control access to the building
  • Conduct ID checks, bag search, body search
  • Carry out routine internal and external patrols
  • Observe and report any suspicious activity
  • Provide a professional and courteous point of contact
  • Offer assistance, directions and information
  • Support corporate events
  • Respond swiftly to incidents
  • Administer first aid
  • Prepare incident reports
  • Liaise with emergency services
  • Ensure health and safety procedures are followed
  • Conduct inspections of fire exits and safety equipment
  • Identify and report hazards
  • Maintain a clean and secure environment
  • Work closely with facilities and other teams
  • Participate in site briefings
  • Uphold confidentiality
