We’re hiring a Public Policy Manager to help shape and execute Meta’s policy strategy in France, working across a variety of topics related to innovation and technology regulation, including AI, online safety, privacy/data protection, competition, IP protection and many more. Reporting to the Head of Public Policy for France, you will support the team in advancing Meta’s policy objectives, coordinate with internal teams to ensure our products and policy positions reflect the evolving regulatory environment, help build events and initiatives with relevant partners, and contribute to engagement with policymakers and regulators.
Job Responsibility
Monitor political and legislative developments relevant to Meta in France across a range of technology and innovation policy topics
Prepare briefing materials, policy positions, and talking points for both internal and external stakeholders
Coordinate with cross-functional teams at Meta — including Legal, Communications, functional Policy, and Product teams — to ensure alignment on policy positions and messaging
Support the organisation and execution of senior leadership visits and flagship events supporting Meta’s policy strategy in France, including stakeholder preparation, briefings, event logistics, and follow-up
Plan and manage events and partnerships with key third parties on priority policy topics, working closely with the policy team and cross-functional partners
Map and engage France’s tech and business ecosystem, identifying key counterparts and supporting the team in building coalitions and sustained engagement
Support Meta’s elections preparedness strategy — including stakeholder mapping, managing external consultancies, briefing senior leaders, and designing engagement initiatives
Requirements
A degree in Political Science, Public Policy, Law, Social Science, or a related field, or equivalent experience
Minimum of 8 years of experience working on relevant policy, regulatory, or government affairs issues in France
Full professional fluency in both French and English, as the role requires direct engagement with French policymakers and regulators as well as coordination with Meta's global English-speaking teams
Strong analytical and writing skills, with the ability to synthesise complex policy and technical issues into clear and actionable briefs
Familiarity with the French political and institutional landscape
Ability to manage multiple workstreams and priorities in a fast-paced environment
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively in cross-functional and multicultural teams
Experience using AI tools to support research, drafting, analysis, and other public policy work
Nice to have
Experience working in government, parliament, or with government institutions in France
Prior experience working in a multinational or fast-moving corporate environment
Demonstrated ability to integrate AI tools to optimize/redesign workflows and drive measurable impact (e.g., efficiency gains, quality improvements)
Demonstrated ongoing AI skill development (e.g., prompt/context engineering, agent orchestration) and staying current with emerging AI technologies
Experience in stakeholder mapping, coalition-building, political monitoring, or election preparedness
Experience adhering to and implementing responsible, ethical AI practices (e.g., risk assessment, bias mitigation, quality and accuracy reviews)
Experience in the technology, digital, or telecommunications sector, or in France's broader business and innovation ecosystem
Familiarity with EU regulatory frameworks and their interaction with French national policy
