Job Description:

A Public Law or Human Rights Solicitor is wanted for an excellent opportunity with a Top 50 law firm based in Leeds. The team is nationally recognized for holding public bodies to account, challenging injustices, and fighting for the rights of vulnerable individuals and communities. This role involves handling cases related to actions against public bodies, court of protection, and human rights.

Job Responsibility:

Focus on cases involving actions against the police, local authorities, and inquest work
Run own caseload
Supervise junior colleagues
Engage in business development and media outreach

Requirements:

At least 4 years PQE
Experience working on civil claims against public bodies, court of protection, human rights or public law cases
Commercial awareness with interest in business development
Ability to engage with media with press team support
