Job Description:

The Central Massachusetts Regional Planning Commission, serving 40 communities in southern Worcester County including the City of Worcester, seeks a Public Health Regional Trainer within the agency’s Regional Collaboration and Community Planning Department.

Job Responsibility:

  • Support CMRPC’s Public Health Training Hub to conduct applied training in Food Safety, Housing, Septic Systems, Title 5, and various other public health inspections to local and regional public health staff
  • Work closely with the Public Health Training Manager, local public health officials across Central Massachusetts
  • Work in partnership with the Massachusetts Department of Public Health Office of Local and Regional Health

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field is required
  • A master’s degree is preferred
  • Public Health Foundations Course certification required within one year of employment
  • Food and Housing Tier Program certification required within one year of employment
  • Soil Evaluator certification required within one year of employment
  • Septic Inspector certification required within one year of employment
  • Food Protection Manager certification required within one year of employment
  • Certified Pool Operator certification required within one year of employment
  • Lead Determinator certification required within one year of employment
