Barnsley Council have an exciting opportunity for a Public Health Foundation Programme Manager to join the team based in Barnsley. You will join us on a full-time, fixed-term basis until 31/12/2027. In return, you will receive a competitive salary of £47,181 - £50,269 per annum. You'll be part of big changes in Barnsley and across the Yorkshire and Humber and Northeast region. Job Responsibility
Bring together partners to deliver public health training across a portfolio of initiatives aimed at upskilling workforces and empowering them to address health inequalities
deliver a Foundation Programme in Public Health across the four ICS in the Northeast, and Yorkshire and the Humber
plan delivery
manage relationships across multiple stakeholders across the public sector
Requirements
Relevant degree and experience working in public health
design of evidence-based projects
delivered successful organisational change initiatives that have a tangible impact on health outcomes
flair for public engagement and an authentic ability to inspire colleagues and motivate them to action
expertise to design and deliver sessions that help participants from diverse backgrounds develop public health expertise
previous facilitation experience
confidence presenting over MS Teams or Zoom
self-motivated and able to work on own initiative with minimum supervision to plan effectively over the short and medium term
effective prioritisation and time management
flexibility and agility to respond to changing priorities
managing relationships
leverage professional credibility in public health and excellent communication skills to build consensus across multiple stakeholders across the public sector
Nice to have
Formal training or accreditation in facilitation
familiarity with the NHS, its systems, structures, and relevant policy changes
