We are looking for an experienced and forward‑thinking Public Health Analyst to join our Public Health Intelligence team. In this role, you will analyse, interpret and present complex data from a range of local and national sources to inform policy, strategy and commissioning decisions. You will play a key role in turning data into insight that directly influences services, improves population health and tackles health inequalities.
Job Responsibility
Delivering high-quality public health intelligence, analysis and reporting
Developing dashboards and visualisations using tools such as Power BI and GIS
Supporting key projects including Joint Strategic Needs Assessments and annual public health reports
Working with a wide range of stakeholders to understand data needs and provide clear, actionable insight
Analysing complex datasets to identify trends, inequalities and opportunities for improvement
Requirements
Strong analytical and statistical skills with experience working on complex data
Advanced Excel and Power BI skills (SQL, R, Python or similar desirable)
Ability to communicate technical information clearly to non-technical audiences
Experience delivering insights that inform strategic decision-making
A proactive, organised team player with a passion for improving public health
Experience of working in a local government environment, public health or NHS is desirable
Nice to have
