Job Description:

Citi is seeking a Public Cloud Technology Controls Senior Analyst (AVP). This role involves advising engineering teams, assessing control processes for Public Cloud Infrastructure and Platform as a Service (IaaS/PaaS) capabilities, and implementing risk mitigation strategies for cloud-based environments. The Technology Controls function supports critical operations by ensuring policies are enforced through automated solutions, managing risks, and collaborating with stakeholders to optimize cloud strategies.

Job Responsibility:

Advise engineers on application of policy, and consult policies and prioritization of codified controls with engineering teams who have multiple concurrent domains such as compute, containers, DB, middleware
ensure processes are designed with control in mind, and controls are automated and sustainable for cloud scale, and achieve defense in depth
coordinate cross border clearance as needed
maintain continual assessment of Management Controls Assessment (MCA) Efficacy for Public Cloud, and assess the effectiveness of existing controls, identifying areas for improvement, and executing necessary changes, and continually manage controls enhancements geared towards increasing efficiency and reducing risk
collaborate with key stakeholders to assess potential risks, develop risk mitigation activities, and define the acceptable level of risk across various areas of operation
stay informed about regulatory changes and industry best practices related to control management, ensuring the controls program aligns with these standards
provide regular updates to senior management on the performance of the controls assessment and design
appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency, as well as effectively supervise the activity of teams and create accountability with those who fail to maintain these standards

Requirements:

Relevant work experience in Technology Risk & Controls, or Risk/Security/Compliance organization in a large organization in a heavily regulated industry
ability to identify, measure, and manage key risks and controls and ability to see the big pictures with high attention to critical details
analytical skills to evaluate complex risk and control activities and processes
strong sense of accountability and ownership, with strong results orientation
excellent communication skills
ability to engage across stakeholder groups
exceptional command in Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
demonstrable interest in Public Cloud risk identification and mitigation
experience working with NIST, COBIT, ITIL, CSA, and/or ISO risk and ITSM frameworks

Nice to have:

Certifications in Public Cloud such as AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner, AWS Certified Security Specialty, or cloud agnostic certifications like CCAK, CCSK, CompTIA Cloud+, CET
experience in an influence management discipline such as project management or product management
experience in modern microservices architectures and deployments (docker/kubernetes), or experience with cloud infrastructure and data services (compute, storage, networking and others, or experience with databases or middleware
experience working in a distributed, cloud-based environment using Azure/AWS/GCP
