Job Description:

The Public Area Attendant is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, appearance, and overall presentation of all public spaces within the hotel. This role ensures that guests experience a consistently high standard of hygiene, comfort, and luxury in line with the brand's reputation. The ideal candidate takes pride in attention to detail, works efficiently, and contributes to a welcoming and immaculate environment.

Job Responsibility:

Clean and maintain all public areas, including lobbies, corridors, restrooms, elevators, and back-of-house spaces
Ensure floors, surfaces, fixtures, and furnishings are kept spotless and well-maintained
Replenish supplies such as hand towels, soap, and amenities in public restrooms
Respond promptly to guest requests and special cleaning needs
Report maintenance issues, safety hazards, or damages to the appropriate department
Follow established cleaning procedures, safety standards, and chemical usage guidelines
Assist with deep cleaning projects and special assignments as required
Maintain proper use and care of cleaning equipment and materials
Uphold hotel standards of professionalism, grooming, and guest service at all times

Requirements:

Previous experience in housekeeping or a similar role, preferably in a luxury hotel environment
Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness and hygiene standards
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Good physical stamina
able to stand, walk, bend, and lift for extended periods
Positive attitude, reliability, and a strong sense of responsibility
Flexibility to work rotating shifts, weekends, and public holidays as required by hotel operations
Basic communication skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia
Must have the right to work in Malaysia
