As the Regional Public Affairs Leader, you will be the focal point for the region, leading and implementing strategies to influence local policy and regulation in line with IKEA values. Your role is to help the business grow and expand while fostering an open, collaborative climate. You will act as a role model for IKEA values, ensuring our co-workers are informed, engaged, and empowered.

Job Responsibility:

  • Use insights to formulate Public Affairs and communication strategies that drive the IKEA business
  • Leverage Public Affairs to enable better business outcomes, both today and in the future
  • Influence policy and regulation by leading strategic advocacy and stakeholder engagement
  • Plan and execute outreach to key influencers, including governments, NGOs, and trade associations
  • Navigate market regulatory processes using your well-developed external network
  • Map stakeholders and understand the drivers within key target audiences
  • Build effective internal relationships to achieve collective business goals
  • Uphold the IKEA corporate identity and vision of 'creating a better everyday life for many people'

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in Public Affairs and/or Communications
  • Proven experience working with government bodies and policymakers in the CEE region
  • A background in strategic business planning
  • Strong, documented leadership and influencing skills
  • Experience leading through change and managing crisis communication
  • Extensive experience in external representation
  • Fluency in English and Czech/Slovak (both spoken and written)
