Job Description:

We are currently recruiting for a Pub Supervisor to support our Assistant Pub Manager & Landlord with overseeing the entire running of the pub including both F&B services and reservations of the pub’s 6 rooms. If you thrive from working in a relaxed and informal environment, look no further than The Village Pub. As Pub Supervisor, you will play a vital role, ensuring a considered food service, that is fun and personal to all. You will need to be enthusiastic towards serving seriously good, pub grub whilst ensuring the team are working collaboratively to provide a consistent service. This is a hand’s-on, roll up your sleeve’s role. Working within a close-knit team, you will be at the forefront of driving the standards. You must have a considered approach to all that you do, supporting the team and chipping in where necessary to ensure service runs efficiently.

  • Support our Assistant Pub Manager & Landlord with overseeing the entire running of the pub including both F&B services and reservations of the pub’s 6 rooms
  • Ensuring a considered food service, that is fun and personal to all
  • Ensuring the team are working collaboratively to provide a consistent service
  • Working on our wine list & bar list offering, liaising with suppliers and adapting the lists when required
  • Taking a pro-active approach in developing their skills behind the bar

Requirements:

  • Experience as a senior bar tender or above is preferred
  • Knowledge of classic cocktails
  • WSET Level 2 or above in spirits and/or wine is preferred
  • An understanding of bar & wine is beneficial
  • Can demonstrate your skills and impart your knowledge across the team
  • Has an input and provide suggestions for our drinks menu
  • Has an understanding of beverage ordering & stocktaking
  • Has an understanding of GP & COS

  • An understanding of bar & wine is beneficial
  • WSET Level 2 or above in spirits and/or wine is preferred
