Come and join us as an HGV Driver 7.5t Cat C1 to help us grow, deliver sales and exceed customer expectations. As a 7.5t Driver, you’ll be committed to delivering an outstanding level of service, and you’ll be professional, driven and enthusiastic. The LGV 7.5t Driver role reports into the branch management team and will provide the highest level of service to internal and external customers. Our 7.5t Drivers are a fundamental part of our branch teams.

Job Responsibility:

  • Health and safety of yourself and your vehicle

  • Report any issues or incidents to your line manager
  • Comply with transport compliance law and regulations
  • Picking orders and loading vehicles
  • Supporting the Branch Manager and Assistant Branch Manager with achieving and exceeding sales targets at optimum margins
  • Ensuring high standards, creating and maintaining a loyal customer base and providing a first class service
  • Assisting with general duties within the branch and warehouse such as serving customers on the trade counter, telesales and maintaining housekeeping standards
  • Delivering products to customers against tight deadlines
  • Interacting with customers, delivering goods and solving problems
  • Helping out in branch - serving on the trade counter and dealing with customers over the telephone

Requirements:

  • Appropriate HGV C1 driving licence and CPC
  • Previous experience as a driver
  • Clean Cat C driving licence
  • Knowledge of plumbing and heating products (advantage)
  • Commitment to outstanding service
  • Professional, driven and enthusiastic attitude
  • Ability to work in a team and support branch colleagues
  • Ability to comply with transport compliance law and regulations
