Pt/ot Assistant

• Implementing patient treatment programs and providing critical feedback toward recovery
• Execute individual patient treatment programs developed by the therapist, guiding patients through exercises and activities
• Provide objective feedback on patient and caregiver performance
• Collaborate with the supervising therapist
• Contribute directly to therapy goals
• Provides Effective and Adequate Treatment
• Ongoing assessment of treatment effectiveness
• Goals and treatment are modified as appropriate
• Selects appropriate treatment interventions
• Utilizes specialized techniques
• Patient safety is addressed with follow-up recommended
• Recommends/obtains equipment as appropriate
• Provides treatment for multiple diagnoses and levels of care
• Patient/Family Education and Training
• Documentation
• Communication & Collaboration with Team/MD
• Delegates to and Supervises Students

• Graduation from an approved Physical Therapy Assistant program or Occupational Therapy Assistant program, or successfully passing the equivalency examination and California licensure/eligibility as a physical therapy assistant or eligibility for certification by the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy, Inc. and a California License, or eligibility, to practice Occupational Therapy, upon hire
• Physical Therapy Assistant or Occupational Therapy Assistant license, upon hire
• Basic Life Support - CPR - Authorized by the American Heart Association, upon hire

Experience as a physical therapy assistant or Occupational Therapist, upon hire
