Job Description:

A well-established and popular 6th form college in North London is seeking a qualified and experienced Psychology & Sociology Teacher to join their team on a part-time, 3-days-a-week basis. The role will involve teaching both A-Level and BTEC students, with a focus on Psychology and Sociology.

Job Responsibility:

  • Preparing, planning, and delivering engaging lessons in Psychology and Sociology to students aged 16-18
  • Providing support for exam preparation, coursework, homework, and student monitoring
  • Ensuring high levels of student attainment and progress

Requirements:

  • QTS / QTLS / PGCE or another relevant teaching qualification
  • Strong subject knowledge in Psychology and Sociology
  • A proactive and engaging teaching style that fosters a positive and inclusive classroom environment
  • Strong classroom management skills with the ability to maintain discipline and encourage a productive learning atmosphere
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to build strong relationships with students
  • Competence in using ICT effectively for teaching and administrative purposes
