Job Description

The Department of Pediatrics is currently recruiting for a Psychology Postdoctoral Fellow in the Division of Developmental-Behavioral Pediatrics. The primary responsibilities during the fellowship will include: a) provision of clinical services in the Division of Developmental-Behavioral Pediatrics (e.g., autism spectrum disorder evaluation, psychoeducational evaluation, and/or infant/toddler evaluation) and b) participation in autism-related research. Instruction of medical students in the College of Medicine (COM) Year One Fundamentals of Patient Care (FPC) Course may also be available. Attendance at the division bi-monthly didactics and relevant grand rounds in Psychiatry and Pediatrics also will be expected.

Job Responsibility

Provision of clinical services in the Division of Developmental-Behavioral Pediatrics (e.g., autism spectrum disorder evaluation, psychoeducational evaluation, and/or infant/toddler evaluation)
Participation in autism-related research
Instruction of medical students in the College of Medicine (COM) Year One Fundamentals of Patient Care (FPC) Course (may be available)
Attendance at the division bi-monthly didactics and relevant grand rounds in Psychiatry and Pediatrics

Requirements

Doctorate degree in Psychology
Ability to perform job functions in an upright position

Ability to lift file boxes from floor level to counter tops
Ability to lift 40 lbs. centrifuge rotors
Ability to lift 25 lbs. boxes
Ability to push/pull file boxes
Ability to maneuver heavy equipment on bench tops
Ability to perform gross motor functions with frequent fine motor movements
Ability to maintain 20/20 vision corrected
Ability to match or discriminate between colors
Ability to hear and recognize various alarms
Ability to hear and/or understand conversations
Ability to work in a darkroom
Ability to be qualified physically for respirator use
Ability to perform job functions while walking/mobile
Ability to climb stairs
Ability to work indoors
Ability to work in all cold temperature extremes
Ability to bend at the waist
Ability to twist at the waist
Ability to perform 'pinching' operations
Ability to fully use both hands/arms

Ability to work alone in isolated areas
Ability to obtain and maintain a valid drivers license
Computer literacy
Ability to work rotating shifts as required
