Job Description:

Psychology placement opportunity at an Outstanding Primary school in Greenwich for psychology students or graduates to gain experience working with children with special educational needs and mental health requirements.

Job Responsibility:

Providing support to class teachers within the classroom
Assisting children with SEND/SEMH needs 1:1 and in small groups
Working closely with 2 children who are non-verbal
Supporting pupils in and out of lessons
Monitoring and recording interventions

Requirements:

Psychology student or graduate
Strong academics
Passion for working with children with SEND/SEMH needs
Previous experience with children and SEN/SEMH needs
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Experience working with Non-Verbal children
Previous experience working 1:1
Resilient and able to overcome challenges
