The Department of Corrections is seeking a qualified and experienced Psychologist Supervisor to lead and oversee mental health services in a challenging, high security environment. As the supervisor you will manage a team of psychologists, provide direct clinical supervision, and ensure the effective delivery of psychological services to individuals in a maximum security prison setting. This role requires both clinical expertise and leadership to promote the wellbeing and rehabilitation of incarcerated individuals.
Job Responsibility:
Overall administration and supervision of the Psychological Services Unit at the assigned institution
Development, administration, supervision and coordination of all psychological services programs within the facility
Provide direct services to persons in our care and provides consultation to institution administration and staff
Supervise the Psychological Services Unit staff, develops staff development programs, and provides direct training to staff
Administer the psychological services program to provide support services and ensure compliance with State and Federal guidelines and program standards, as well as managing an Affirmative Action Plan and Health and Safety program within the work unit
Requirements:
Current Wisconsin licensure as a Psychologist or be licensed in another state and be eligible to obtain Wisconsin licensure by time of appointment
Maintain licensure during employment
Obtain certification in CPR by the American Heart Association and training in use of the AED within three months of hire and maintain certification throughout employment
Legally authorized to work in the United States (i.e. a citizen or national of the U.S., a lawful permanent resident, or an alien authorized to work in the U.S. without DOC work visa sponsorship) at the time of application
Nice to have:
Doctorate of Psychology (or equivalent)
Permanent License to practice Psychology
