Navigo Community Psychology are seeking to recruit a highly enthusiastic and motivated Psychological clinician, to work within our service to cover a period of Maternity Leave. The role is full-time however part time hours and flexible working would be considered. The service provides support to adults across North East Lincolnshire and can receive referrals for a variety of clinical presentations, including Complex-PTSD, moderate to severe Anxiety and Depression, Bipolar and Personality Disorder. The team is made up of a range of psychological professionals, who are all passionate about providing high quality psychological care. We also value the importance of team working, peer support and having access to regular CPD oportunities. The successful candidate would be expected to make skilled evaluation and treatment plans for people with complex psychological needs, often presenting with comorditities and a longstanding history of difficulties. They would also implement and monitor specialised evidence-based psychological interventions, taking into account the complexity of needs identified. Psychology staff are provided with a day working from home to encourage the opportunity for CPD practice and support with administrative duties. The successful candidate will join a team of Clinical and Counselling Psychologists, Psychological Therapists and Assistant Psychologists, whom work closely with colleagues within the local Community Mental Health Teams and other Navigo services.
Job Responsibility:
Provides specialist psychological assessment of clients with complex conditions based on the appropriate use, interpretation and integration of data from a variety of sources
Formulates plans for specialist psychological therapy and/or management of clients mental health conditions based upon an appropriate conceptual framework and evidence-based practice
Implements a range of specialist psychological therapies for individual clients, carers, and groups, adjusting and refining psychological formulations as required
Evaluates therapy options and makes decisions about treatment
Responsible for recognising the potential for, or signs of client harm, abuse or neglect, including poor clinical practice, reporting all such concerns and taking all reasonable steps to protect the client
Undertakes risk assessment and risk management for individual clients and provides specialist advice to other professionals on psychological aspects of risk assessment and risk management
Liaises regularly with other professionals involved with the clients case, ensuring any concerns regarding welfare or risk to self or others is passed on in a timely manner
Requirements:
Registration with HCPC or BABCP
Evidence of continuing professional development
must have experience or interest in working with serious mental illness cohorts and comorbidity
Experience of delivering CBT
Multi-disciplinary team working
Training in evidence-based interventions for severe mental illness, such as CBT, DBT or EMDR
Experience working with service users with neuro-diversity
Experience of delivering EMDR, CAT, DBT and other evidence-based therapies
Experience of group therapy
Experience of delivering supervision and/or providing teaching to both Psychology and non-Psychology staff
Nice to have:
Training in evidence-based interventions for severe mental illness, such as CBT, DBT or EMDR
Experience working with service users with neuro-diversity
Able to use own initiative and make decisions independently
Skills in using multimedia materials in presentations
Experience of delivering EMDR, CAT, DBT and other evidence-based therapies
