Job Description

The University of Kansas Health System, Department of Family Medicine, is seeking a full-time Clinical Psychologist to join our growing team. This position provides an exciting opportunity to deliver full-spectrum behavioral health services within a collaborative, patient-centered family medicine practice. The ideal candidate will provide comprehensive psychological assessment, consultation, and evidence-based interventions to a diverse patient population in an ambulatory care setting. As part of our integrated care model, the psychologist will work closely with physicians, advanced practice providers, nurses, social workers, and other specialists to support whole-person care.

Job Responsibility

  • Provide behavioral health consultation and intervention as part of a multidisciplinary primary care team
  • Deliver brief, evidence-based interventions to address a range of mental health and behavioral health needs
  • Collaborate with faculty, residents, and learners in an academic health system
  • Participate in opportunities for teaching, program development, and quality improvement initiatives

Requirements

  • Doctoral Degree (PhD or PsyD) in Clinical or Counseling Psychology from an APA- or CPA-accredited doctoral program (with an APA-approved clinical internship)
  • Minimum of two years of relevant postdoctoral experience in health psychology or primary care behavioral health
  • Fully licensed or license-eligible in the State of Kansas (primary) and Missouri (or eligible for PSYPACT) by the time of appointment
