Job Description:

Prairie Mountain Health is offering an opportunity for a Psychiatrist to join our excellent medical services team in Dauphin Manitoba. The successful candidate will be responsible for continuing, comprehensive Psychiatric care to inpatients at the Dauphin Regional Health Centre (DRHC) and for providing support to the Community Mental Health services within the Region.

Job Responsibility:

  • Continuing, comprehensive Psychiatric care to inpatients at the Dauphin Regional Health Centre
  • Providing support to the Community Mental Health services within the Region
  • Provide admission, examination, assessment, diagnosis, treatment and discharge management of patients requiring psychiatric care
  • Share equally in the Psychiatry on-call roster

Requirements:

  • Degree in Medicine
  • Doctor of Medicine Degree with specialization in Psychiatry
  • FRCP in Psychiatry or Royal College eligible candidate
  • Have or be eligible for licensure with the College of Physicians & Surgeons of Manitoba
  • Must have or obtain proof of Canadian Medical Protective Association coverage
  • Complete and maintain a satisfactory Criminal Record Check, Vulnerable Sector Search, Adult Abuse Registry Check and Child Abuse Registry Check
  • All Health Care workers are required to be immunized as a condition of employment
