Job Description:

A California state correctional facility in San Luis Obispo, California is looking for psychiatrists. These locum tenens positions are 6-month terms with the ability to extend. Full and part-time shift schedules are available.

Job Responsibility:

  • Evaluate and diagnose mental health disorders
  • Develop and implement treatment plans
  • Prescribe and manage psychiatric medications working with pharmacist
  • Provide psychotherapy services
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals
  • Maintain patient records and write reports

Requirements:

  • Current CA MD/DO License
  • Current CA DEA Certificate
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Psychiatry
  • BLS certification from the American Heart Association
