Requirements

Be licensed in the state of Wisconsin as an MD or DO with specialization in psychiatry
Board-eligible physician. Board certification preferred
Graduate of an accredited college or university and medical school
Successful completion of a GME accredited residency and/or fellowship program, if working with children additional residency with this age group must have been obtained
Two years or more experience working in a psychiatric hospital or clinic
Be registered with Medicare as a community provider, or able to be registered
Leadership and/ or supervisory experience in a behavioral health organization is preferred
Experience with process improvement implementation preferred
For Moonlighting Residents or Fellows: Be enrolled in a GME accredited residency and/or fellowship program and have completed at least two full years of psychiatric residency
Be licensed in the state of Wisconsin as an MD or DO

Job Responsibility

Attend Patients at the Site: Conduct medication management sessions
Conduct patient psychiatric evaluations and assessments
Conduct history and physical
Create patient treatment plans and manage updates
Perform patient and family education
Participate in team and unit meetings
Create discharge plan creation
Provide collaboration with nurse practitioners and physician assistants
Provide oversight of medical residents and fellows working on the unit
Participating in the established call schedule
