Western Health’s Mental Health and Wellbeing Service is recruiting a Community Mental Health Enrolled Nurse (PEN3) roles to support our community-based services, including the Outreach Medication Supervision Program and Long-Acting Injectable (LAI) Clinic. These roles works across community mental health settings on a rotating roster, Monday to Sunday, and provides an opportunity to deliver safe, recovery-oriented nursing care in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams. You will work at an advanced enrolled nurse level within your scope of practice, supporting consumers, families and carers, while contributing to medication management, physical health monitoring and continuity of care in the community.
Job Responsibility:
Providing direct nursing care to consumers in community mental health settings
Supporting medication supervision, including long-acting injectable clinics
Monitoring physical and mental health and escalating concerns appropriately
Working closely with registered nurses and multidisciplinary teams
Maintaining accurate clinical documentation and meeting service KPIs
Supporting trainee and junior enrolled nurses as required
Requirements:
Current registration as an Enrolled Nurse with NMBA and eligibility for PEN3
Diploma of Nursing with medication endorsement
Experience working with mental health consumers in community or clinical settings
Strong communication, organisation and engagement skills
Sound understanding of the Mental Health and Wellbeing Act 2022
